<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate effective classification processing and also enable an operator to easily perform interpretation, modification, or the like of classification processing by displaying contents of the classification processing. <P>SOLUTION: An evaluation unit 22 provides classification processing candidates including predetermined image processing calculation and feature quantity calculation, calculates a plurality of feature quantities of a plurality of original images by performing the image processing calculation and the feature quantity calculation on each original image belonging to any image group, and calculates effectiveness of the plurality of feature quantities in classifying the plurality of original images. A calculation content change unit 23 repeats processing for changing contents of the classification processing candidates while calculating the effectiveness by the evaluation unit 22 until satisfying termination conditions. Then, a display control unit 24 displays on a display 16 contents of classification processing of the classification processing candidate of which effectiveness is equal to or more than a threshold.
