The motor assembly (1) has an electric motor (2), which is provided with a bearing plate (5), where a flange plate (3) is provided to mount a flange of the motor assembly to a structure. A damping element (4) is provided to connect the bearing plate with the flange plate, where projections (12,12') are formed on the circumference of the bearing plate for supporting the damping element. The respective projections are integrally formed with cups (14,14') of the bearing plate.
