<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a clutch to be engaged or disengaged even if a control valve that supplies compressed air to a clutch actuator has fallen into an operation failure. <P>SOLUTION: A clutch operating apparatus has a clutch actuator 13 that disengages the clutch 11 by the supply of compressed air from a compressed air supply source 34 into a pneumatic introduction chamber 16a, and engages the clutch 11 by exhausting the compressed air from the pneumatic introduction chamber 16a, and a main control valve 43 that is provided between the pneumatic introduction chamber 16a and the compressed air supply source 34 while supplying compressed air from the compressed air supply source 34 into the pneumatic introduction chamber 16a upon receiving input of a control signal, or exhausting the compressed air from the pneumatic introduction chamber 16a. There is provided a sub-control valve 51 that supplies compressed air into the pneumatic introduction chamber 16a in parallel with the main control valve 43 between the pneumatic introduction chamber 16a and compressed air supply source 34 or exhausts the compressed air from the pneumatic introduction chamber 16a.
