A polymerizable liquid crystal compound represented by formula (I) can be used as an additive that is effective in suppressing crystal deposition after coating of a polymerizable liquid crystal (II) or a polymerizable liquid crystal similar thereto. (In the formulae, P represents a polymerizable functional group; Sp represents a spacer or a single bond; each of Z1 and Z2 represents -CO-O-; R0 represents a linear alkyl group having 1-15 carbon atoms; each of R2, R3 and R4 independently represents an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1-4 carbon atoms, an alkoxycarbonyl group having 2-5 carbon atoms, an acyloxy group having 2-5 carbon atoms, an acyl group having 2-4 carbon atoms, an amide group having 2-5 carbon atoms, a cyano group, an amino group, a hydroxyl group or a halogen atom; and each of r1, r2 and r3 represents an integer of 0-4, and when r1, r2 and r3 are respectively integers of 2 or more, the R2 moieties, R3 moieties and R4 moieties may be the same as or different from each other, respectively.
