EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF FASTENING A SHEET-METAL TAB TO AN EXHAUST PIPE

PURPOSE: A method for fastening a sheet metallic tap to an exhaust pipe assembly and an exhaust pipe is provided to fix soldering materials to a fastening panel, thereby preventing the materials from being slid or fallen when setting a position of the fastening panel on the exhaust pipe and components from being incompletely soldered. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust pipe assembly comprises an exhaust pipe(10) and a fastening panel(12). The exhaust pipe is extended along a pipe axis(A). The fastening panel is mounted in the exhaust pipe, and a cross section of the fastening panel is formed into a curved shape. Two contact surfaces(18) of the fastening panel spaced in a circumferential direction(22) are soldered to the exhaust pipe. A supporting unit(20) connected to the fastening panel is arranged between the two contact surfaces.
