An illumination unit partially or completely illuminates the inner space of the compartment with blue light with a wavelength range of 390-600 nanometer or UV light in operating mode of the illumination unit. The adjusting unit comprises a bowl of water and zeolites, and the illumination unit comprises multiple LEDs or organic LEDs (OLEDs). A closure element (60) e.g. door and flap, closes the inner space of the compartment. An independent claim is also included for a cooling and/or freezing apparatus.</p>
