PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for an electrochemical element capable of obtaining a capacitor suitable for a high-speed charge and discharge at a high current by intending to reduce an internal resistance of the capacitor and to improve an electrode strength. SOLUTION: In the electrode for the electrochemical element, an electrode composition layer is formed through a conductive adhesive layer on a collector with plural protrusions in at least one direction. Especially, it is desirable that a protrusion-formation-density in the collector may be one piece/mm<SP>2</SP>or more, moreover it is desirable that an effective surface area (A) of the collector per unit area (B) of the collector may exceed 1 by A/B ratio.
