DETERMINING THE STATE OF A STATION IN A LOCAL AREA NETWORK

In a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), transmission exchanged between a station (Station) and an access point (AP) is received using a detector (Detector) located adjacent to the station (Station). The received transmission are analyzed to determine the state of the station (Station), where the state of the station (Station) indicates whether the station (Station) has authenticated and/or associated with the access point (AP) in the wireless Local Area Network.
