The system has a corrosion-treated steel mounting plate (14) including a lower face resting on a track support structure (12), and openings for receiving anchoring elements i.e. tie bars (15), to anchor the plate in the structure. A pair of rail fasteners (16) e.g. clips, retains a guide rail (10) via its soleplate (18). The fasteners are fixed by screws (22) traversing the mounting plate and engaging in tapped holes formed in a counter-plate (24) positioned under the mounting plate. An elastomeric guide (20) is placed between the soleplate and the mounting plate. The mounting plate comprises wedging mortar with high compression modulus, and/or epoxy resin and/or second phase concrete and/or first phase concrete.
