The shelter (1) has external walls formed of a front wall (11), right side wall (12), rear wall (13) and left side wall (14) delimiting an interior space, and a roof (20) covering the space. A side of each of the walls is formed of a grooved panel (30) i.e. slatwall, presenting horizontal grooves for fixing objects e.g. storage racks, shelves. An external face of the wall is defined by a face of the panel, and an interior face of the wall is defined by another face of the panel. Coplanar and perpendicular type vertical assembling elements (40, 50) assemble the panel with another grooved panel. An independent claim is also included for a method for constructing a shelter.
