A proportioning valve for a braking system in a vehicle is provided to allow a large number of cut-in pressures and slope upon pedaling of a brake to be achieved for uniformly distributing the braking force and hydraulic force, thereby enhancing braking performance. A proportioning valve for a braking system in a vehicle comprises a poppet valve(10) operating a forward motion through hydraulic force in several steps when driver steps on the brake, a first piston(20), a second piston(30), and a sealing member(40) to prevent hydraulic fluid contained in the poppet valve from leaking. The first piston operates a forward motion through hydraulic force derived from the first-step operation of the poppet valve and returns to its original position by spring force of a first spring(25) when the hydraulic force is eliminated. The second piston operates a forward motion through hydraulic force derived from the second-step operation of the poppet valve and returns to its original position by spring force of a second spring(35) when the hydraulic force is eliminated. |
