摘要

PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to maintain the barrier height of an electron barrier layer and to reduce a leakage current. CONSTITUTION: An active layer(114) includes a quantum well and a quantum wall. The active layer is formed on a first conductive semiconductor layer(112). An electron barrier layer(126) is formed on the active layer. A second conductive semiconductor layer(116) is formed on the electron barrier layer. The energy band gap of the electron barrier layer gradually increases from the active layer to the second conductive semiconductor layer.
