摘要 <p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for adjusting a resonance frequency and a wireless communication instrument making it possible to achieve reductions in size and weight, and to easily adjust the resonance frequency of a mass-production instrument. A wireless communication instrument provided with a sheet-shaped antenna (41) and a first and second cover (42, 43) for covering the antenna (41), wherein a first rib (42a) of a dielectric material that comes into contact with the antenna (41) is provided toward the antenna (41) on the first cover (42). The method for adjusting a resonance frequency is as described below. The first cover (42) provided with the first rib (42a) is molded using a die, the resonance frequency of the antenna (41) covered by the molded first cover (42) is measured, and a comparison is made of the measured resonance frequency and a predetermined frequency. The die is changed so that when the measured resonance frequency is higher than the predetermined frequency, the contact area between the first rib (42a) and the antenna (41) is increased; and, when the measured resonance frequency is lower than the predetermined frequency, the contact area between the first rib (42a) and the antenna (41) is reduced.</p>
