<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of defective display panels caused by current leakage. <P>SOLUTION: A display panel manufacturing method for manufacturing a display panel by using a plurality of layers formed on a main surface of a substrate includes: a step S (k, 1) for forming k-th structure layers about all k values satisfying 1≤k≤n-1 when respective layers remaining in a final product out of the plurality of layers are called as a first structure layer, a second structure layer, and a third structure layer to an n-th structure layer in order from the layer closest to the main surface; a step S (k, 3) for flattening the upper surface of the k-th structure layer by polishing after the step for forming the k-th structure layer and before forming the (k+1)-th structure layer; a step S (n, 1) for forming an n-th structure layer; and a step S (n, 3) for flattening the upper surface of the n-th structure layer by polishing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
