Disclosed is a secondary batter pack comprising: a battery cell comprising a sealed surplus part, and having a cathode terminal and an anode terminal on one surface thereof; and a protection circuit module (PCM) connected electrically to the battery cell via the cathode terminal and the anode terminal, wherein the PCM comprises: a substrate having a protection circuit formed thereon, and having a cathode terminal connecting part and an anode terminal connecting part, which connect to the cathode terminal and the anode terminal, located therein; and a PCM case constructed so as to house and encase the substrate through one open side thereof, wherein the substrate is connected to the cathode terminal and the anode terminal of the battery cell by the cathode terminal connecting part and the anode terminal connecting part, and the PCM case, which houses the substrate, is mounted on the sealed surplus part of the battery cell.
