VOC REDUCING APPARATUS FOR OIL TANKER

PURPOSE: A VOC(Volatile Organic Compound) reducing device for an oil tanker is provided to reduce VOCs generated when the upper pressure of a vertical pipe suddenly drops because the upper pressure of the vertical pipe reaches the vapor pressure of oil within a fast time by a cyclone or a pressure container installed in a cargo hold. CONSTITUTION: A VOC(Volatile Organic Compound) reducing device for an oil tanker comprises a 2-phase separator, an oil outlet port(130), an exhaust port(140), and a safety valve(142). The 2-phase separator is installed in the cargo hold in order to separate liquid-phase oil and gas-phase VOC. The oil outlet port is arranged in the 2-phase separator to drain the liquid-phase oil to a cargo hold. The exhaust port is arranged in the 2-phase separator to exhaust the gas-phase VOC. The safety valve is installed in the exhaust port to maintain the internal pressure of the 2-phase separator at a preset pressure.
