<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and a power supply control method that perform power control according to the status of the placed environment. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 100 includes: a power generation means 102 that incorporates the light from an environment of the image processing apparatus 100 and generates electricity; and a sensor means 104 that is driven by the electric power that is generated by the power generation means 102 and outputs a sensor signal according to the status of the environment. The image processing apparatus 100 in addition, includes a detecting means 132 to detect the condition to return the image processing apparatus 100 being met by the sensor signal and outputs a return signal (LIGHT_DET); a power supply control means 134 that starts the power supply to a device control means 112 that controls the image processing apparatus 100 responding to the return signal (LIGHT_DET); and a device control means 112 that controls after starting receiving the power supply, the power supply control means to maintain the power supply after the output of the return signal (LIGHT_DET) stops. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
