PURPOSE: An overload control method when supplying popular content in a service node and an apparatus thereof are provided to offer predetermined service quality to clients by moving a connected session to an adjacent node in the overload of a server. CONSTITUTION: When requests for popular content are concentrated in one service node, a dispersed service node preferentially processes the popular content. Adjacent nodes process and transmit the popular content for the requests. The adjacent nodes control the overload. A connected session is moved to the adjacent node in the overload of a server.
