摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve decoding performance when decoding image data compressed and encoded by a compression encoding algorithm using both of a predictive encoding and variable length encoding. <P>SOLUTION: A decoding device has a reverse predictive encoding part which executes predictive value calculation processing for setting each pixel whose prediction error is expressed by predictive encoding data as a processing target pixel and calculating a predictive value of a pixel value of the pixel from size relation in the pixel values of a plurality of peripheral pixels and addition processing for reconstructing the pixel value of the processing target pixel by adding the predictive error indicated by the predictive encoding data to the predictive value, and which executes first operation for referring to only the pixel values of pixels which are not arranged in a horizontal scanning line direction to the processing target pixel out of the plurality of peripheral pixels prior to second operation other than the first operation and stores an operation result of the first operation in a register until the execution of the second operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
