<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which is low-cost and of which shape would not be large while maintaining high quality even when using a liquid crystal panel with a curved display surface. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: a liquid crystal panel unit including the curved display surface; a backlight; and a frame body supporting the liquid crystal panel unit and a backlight unit. A diffusion plate is arranged between the liquid crystal panel unit and the backlight unit.
