PURPOSE: A multi VOD channel providing system in a digital cable broadcast and a method thereof are provided to designate one channel as a multi VOD channel and simultaneously supply VOD related content through the channel, thereby effectively managing the channels. CONSTITUTION: A VOD information managing unit(112) manages VOD related information. A channel type setting unit(113) sets a channel type, which is distinguished from a general channel, in a VOD providing channel. A channel information managing unit(114) manages a VOD providing schedule of the VOD providing channel. A channel VOD information managing unit(116) divides VOD related information corresponding to the VOD providing schedule into the VOD related data and additional VOD related information with identification information and stores and manages the VOD related data and the additional VOD related information with the identification information. |
