<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the increase of an amount of a power consumed by an electric motor and to prevent running down of a battery by effecting control such that a feed to the electric motor is limited when a total sum of a change amount of a signal related to a steering exceeds a given value at a time when a car speed is below a set value. CONSTITUTION:In a motor-operated power steering device, an electric motor 30 is mechanically coupled to a steering mechanism 20 to receive steering torque of a steering wheel 2 to steer a wheel 1, and steering torque is assisted by means of a power. In the electric motor 30, a feed is controlled by a control means 71 of a controller 40 according to steering torque detected by a handle torque detecting means 41. In this case, a handle control detecting means 42 to detect a signal related to steering of a steering wheel 2 and a car speed detecting means 44 are provided, and output signals therefrom are inputted to a correcting means 72. When a change amount of a signal related to steering exceeds a given value at a time when a car speed is below a set value, a feed to the electric motor 30 is limited.</p> |
