The cartridge belt, which is preferably of plastics material and which is indexed in equal steps by means (not shown) so as to align a fresh cartridge with the bore 3 after each operation of the tool, is preferably of a thickness of 0À3-1 mm. When the barrel is in its firing position, aperture 8 through which the severed portion of the belt passes is closed. |
