PURPOSE: A recognition device of an electronic device and a recognition method of the electronic device are provided to easily connect the electronic device to a network without needing to personally input registration information of the device. CONSTITUTION: A product information recognizing unit(702) recognizes registration information of an electronic device. A communication unit(706) transmits the registration information to a network management device(60) which registers the electronic device in a local area network. The product information recognizing unit records product information of the device and recognizes a QR(Quick Response) code or a barcode on the device. The product information recognizing unit stores the product information and recognizes an NFC(Near Field Communication) module in the device. The communication unit receives information about a registration result of the device from the network management device.
