<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor preventing a lead wire constituting a coil from contacting to the outer peripheral surface of a rotor hub. <P>SOLUTION: An outside core portion 421A and an inside core portion 426A are provided on a tooth 42A. The outside core portion 421A is disposed radially outside the outer peripheral surface 621A of the hub. The lead wire constituting the coil is wound around the outside core portion 421A. The inside core portion 426A is disposed radially inside the outside core portion 421A. A positioning portion 70A is provided on the inside core portion 426A at a position radially outside the outer peripheral surface of the hub and radially inside the coil.
