<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of both reducing maximum power required for the power supply that supplies power to a light source and reducing load variation of the power supply, in a luminaire including a plurality of light sources. <P>SOLUTION: The luminaire comprises a plurality of power supplies, a plurality of switches for intermitting a current flowing into a light source, and control means for controlling operation of the switches with a PWM signal. A plurality of light sources are grouped into light source blocks each of which is a set of one or more light sources. Each of the plurality of switches is connected with the same number of light source blocks as that of the power supplies. A plurality of light source blocks where the switches to be connected are identical are connected with power supplies different from each other, and a PWM signal is determined for each switch so that both the lighting timing and unlighting timing of light source blocks being connected with different switches are different from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
