<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce troublesome operation of a driver without requiring to adjust an angle of a mirror by a driver, when turning to the right and left on a narrow alley. <P>SOLUTION: This side mirror control device includes mirror driving means 5 and 6 for changing the angle of the mirrors 2 and 3 arranged in a vehicle right-left side part, and a control means 7 for controlling the mirror driving means 5 and 6. The side mirror control device includes an obstacle detecting means 19 for detecting an object positioned in a predetermined range from the vehicle right, left, front and rear ends, and a steering direction detecting means 20 for detecting the steering direction of a steering wheel. The control means changes an angle of the right mirror 2 to an angle capable of visually confirming a vehicle lower right side surface from a driver's seat by the mirror driving means 5 when the object positioned in the predetermined range from the vehicle left front end or the vehicle left rear end is detected by the obstacle detecting means 19 and when steering to the right direction is detected by the steering direction detecting means 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
