<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce printed matters where the reproducibility of document colors is not adequate in multicolor printing of a color mode. <P>SOLUTION: An image determination apparatus 11 comprises: a printable-or-not determination unit 21 which determines whether the color of each pixel in image data of a document can be printed by combination of plural printing colors usable in multicolor printing of a color mode; and a mode determination unit 23 which, using a ratio of the number of pixels of colors printable with the combination of plural printing colors with respect to the number of effective pixels of the image data, determines whether printing to be executed on the image data is multicolor printing of a color mode or printing of a monochromatic mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
