A sealant applying device for sealing a flat display panel is provided to completely cover crevices between substrates of the PDP by uniformly applying the sealant, even when the PDP(Plasma Display Panel) has an irregular side shape. A sealant applying device for sealing a flat display panel includes a panel support unit(110) and an application unit(120). The application unit includes a nozzle(121), first and second drivers(131,141), a crevice measuring unit(151), and a controller(161). The nozzle sprays a sealant to a side surface of the PDP. The first driver reciprocally moves the nozzle, such that a distance between the nozzle and the side surface of the PDP is adjusted. The second driver reciprocally moves the nozzle in a direction normal to the first driver. The crevice measuring unit measures a distance between the nozzle and the side surface of the PDP. The controller controls the first and second controllers. |
