<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable prestacking using a compact apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The paper processing apparatus includes: an alignment tray 32 including a jogger fence 33, a reference fence 35 and a stapler 31 for performing alignment and binding processing on sheets; a second conveying roller which conveys a sheet carried in along a shift processing path 2 to the alignment tray 32; and a second sheet housing portion 5 which is branched on the upstream side of the second conveying roller in the shift processing path 2 and to which a sheet is retreated by reversing the second conveying roller. When the sheet is retreated to the second sheet housing portion 5, the second conveying roller 23 guides the front end side of the sheet from the upper surface side of a conveyance guide plate 38 to the outside of the apparatus, and reverses the conveyance direction before the rear end of the sheet passes through the second conveying roller 23 to convey the sheet to the second sheet housing portion 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
