<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for drying a sheet, which can prevent a sheet from deforming to efficiently perform drying treatment to the sheet, and to provide an inkjet recording apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An ink drying treatment unit 20 blows hot air to a surface of a sheet P on which an image is recorded, to perform drying treatment to the sheet. The ink drying treatment unit grips a leading end of the sheet P by a leading end gripper 64D and also grips a trailing end of the sheet by a trailing end gripper 126 to covey the sheet P, and then performs drying treatment to the sheet.
