<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cutter which is capable of improving operability not only when a user performs work with the optical fiber cutter in his or her hand but also when the user performs work with the optical fiber cutter on a work bench. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber cutter 1 includes a cutter base 3 and a cutter cover 4 attached to the cutter base 3 so as to be allowed to open/close. A slider 8 having a blade member for making a cut on an optical fiber is attached to the cutter base 3 so as to be movable in a breadthwise direction. A switching plate 15 is attached to a rear end part of the cutter base 3, and a switching operation part 16 is provided on the outer surface side of the switching plate 15. When the switching operation part 16 is located in a first position, an opening angle of the cutter cover 4 is 35° because the cutter cover 4 is engaged with a stopper. When the switching operation part 16 is located in a second position, the opening angle of the cutter cover 4 is 70° because the cutter cover 4 is disengaged from the stopper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
