<p>The invention relates to a method, a device and a computer program product for representing complex animation. The claimed method consists in accessing data defining an animation sequence depicting the motion of at least one object over time, accessing animation primitives identifying data supported by a markup language, analyzing the data defining the animation sequence to determine a first portion of the animation sequence that can be represented by using a set of visual animated assets by using animation primitives and a second portion of the animation sequence that can be represented by using a scripting language to control the transitions between the frames representing the second portion and generating a package comprising a markup code referencing the visual assets and defining an appearance of frames, a style sheet referencing the animation primitives and a structured data object, the markup code being generated to make a rendering application to provide the animation sequence by using the scripting language in order to coordinate the rendering of each of the first portion and second portion according to a parameter included in the structured data object, the first portion being rendered by applying the animation primitives as styles to the set of visual assets and the second portion being rendered by drawing the plurality of frames and transitioning between the frames using the scripting language. The claimed computerized device comprises a hardware interconnector, a data processing hardware element which implements an engine for animation coding and for analyzing timeline data defining an animation sequence and generates a code package representing the animation sequence and comprising a markup code and a structured data object.</p> |
