The present invention relates to a method for self-directed learning involving a novel concept, which departs from rigid and passive learning systems of the prior art and provides a new paradigm for English language learning wherein sentence structures are split into component elements on customised cards developed for particular purposes into different levels, different stages and different fields in accordance with the degree of accomplishment of the user so as to give overall details of English in stages, and learning takes place naturally while enjoying a serious game making good use of an apparatus. The present invention also relates to a device for the method. Further, the invention relates to a method for self-directed learning via a serious game combining the features of learning apparatuses with the advantages of specially devised cards whereby overall learning of English can be done in a way that is both natural and interesting while a game is enjoyed which involves a match on a computer between the user themselves and the computer or the user themselves and another user, by combining the features of apparatuses with the advantages of specific cards giving English-language learning content in different stages and different levels by making good use of diverse colours, graphics, pictures, symbols and the like based on cognitive linguistics. The present invention also relates to a learning device for the method. |
