PURPOSE: A liquid crystal medium is provided to have low threshold voltage, low rotating viscosity, quick reaction time and high resistance, high thermal stability, high UV stability, and high voltage maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal medium comprises a polymerizable compound which comprises one or more polymerizable compound, and a liquid crystal component which comprises one or more components or chemical formula 1 and/or chemical formula 1A. In the chemical formulas, R^0 is a C1-15 alkyl or alkoxy radical; X^0 is a halogenated alkyl radical, halogenated alkenyl radical, halogenated alkoxy radical, or halogenated alkenyl oxy radical, of F, Cl, CN, SF5, SCN, and NCS and has a carbon number is 6 or less; and each of L^1-L^6 is H or F.
