The invention relates to sandwich immunoassay techniques, using sheep anti-goat IgG polyclonal antibodies, for the immunological detection of goat's milk in sheep's milk, especially goat immunoglobulins, in milk samples as well as the determination of composition (in milk) of cheese, which is made from sheep's and goat's milk. In particular, the invention provides procedures for high sensitivity detection of goat immunoglobulins in devices for use in point-of-care and on-site testing. It has been found that by using anti-goat IgG produced in sheeps, in sandwich immunoassay techniques such as ELISA and Lateral Flow Immunochromatography, adulteration of sheep milk with goat milk can be detected at very low levels e. g. 0.5 percentage and very high levels e. g. 40 percentage as may found inmilk samples. |
