Novelty: a bed mattress with stiff and smooth side. Constitution: two separate columns of springs which -when united- form a uniform bed mattress; the different stiffness of the springs of each column offers one smooth and one stiff mattress side, respectively. Advantage: double use: stiff or smooth bed mattress upon use of the respective smooth or stiff side thereof.
