<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting defect of separation membrane, which is for obtaining a membrane having high separation performance and small amount of defect even in a large membrane. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the method for detecting defect of a separation membrane formed on an inner wall surface of a cell of a porous monolith substrate having a plurality of cells formed from one end face to the other end face in the longitudinal direction. A vacuum pump 25 is connected to one end of the cells and a vacuometer 26 is connected to the other end of the cells to vacuum the inside of the cells to measure the ultimate degree of vacuum in the cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
