<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a reduction in size of an entire device. <P>SOLUTION: At least two or more basic units provided with rotor portions and armature portions are installed along a rotational axis in a motor. In either the rotor portions or the armature portions, the basic units adjacent to each other are relatively shifted by a relative angle of a certain value in a rotational direction and coupled to each other. Each rotor portion has a disk shape with the rotational axis as the center and is provided with permanent magnets. Each armature portion is provided with: armature iron cores constituted of three poles that have first through third magnetic pole portions disposed opposite to one another on a plurality of surfaces of each rotor portion; and first and second toroidal coils. The first toroidal coil is arranged in a hollow region having an annular shape as a whole formed by disposing first magnetic pole portions and second magnetic pole portions opposite to one rotor portion, and the second toroidal coil is arranged in a hollow region having the annular shape as a whole formed by disposing the first magnetic pole portions and third magnetic pole portions opposite to other rotor portion.
