PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material in which an organic compound and an inorganic compound are combined and which has high carrier transport property; provide a composite material having high carrier injection efficiency to an organic compound; provide a composite material which is not likely to cause absorption due to charge-transfer interaction; and provide a composite material having high light-transmitting property to visible light.

SOLUTION: A composite material includes: an organic compound; and an inorganic compound having electron accepting properties to the organic compound. Rings that the organic compound has are only benzene rings, and the number of the benzene rings that the organic compound has is 4 or more and 25 or less.
