The device (1) has a container (5) for receiving food products, and closed by a cover (7). An instrument is arranged on a tool (6) into the container for processing of foodstuffs. The tool comprises a drive shaft (14). The drive shaft is displaced in a longitudinal direction between a driving position, in which the drive shaft is driven from a drive unit, and in a release position, in which the drive shaft is separated from the drive unit. The cover is arranged on a lower side of an arbor (19) such that the cover is attached on the container for displacing the shaft in a drive position.
