PURPOSE: A waterwheel-type power generation system is provided to improve the power generation efficiency of a waterwheel because the rotational radius of the waterwheel decreases or increases while buckets periodically rotate. CONSTITUTION: A waterwheel-type power generation system comprises a waterwheel(120) and a power generator(150). The waterwheel is rotated by a rotating force obtained from water flowing into a duct(110). Buckets(120) of the waterwheel independently rotate to increase the rotating force by periodically changing inertia moment. The power generator is connected to a rotary shaft of the waterwheel.
