<p>The invention relates to a rotary pump, comprising a rotor (1, 1', 1") having delivery elements (3, 3', 3", 4, 4', 4") which deliver at least a portion of a fluid in the axial direction of the rotor. Two delivery elements or groups of delivery elements are provided on the rotor for delivering the fluid and deliver the fluid to be delivered in mutually opposing axial directions of the rotor, so that the axial thrust components substantially compensate each other. The fluid flows flowing counter to each other jointly give way in the radial direction of the rotor and can be jointly discharged through the volute casing (9) and utilized.</p> |
