PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to improve display mode efficiency by restraining a domain generated in the end part of an electrode for forming storage capacitance. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a first capacitive electrode, a second capacitive electrode, a side edge portion, and a convex shape body(WL2). The first and the second electrode are connected to the first and the second capacitive electrode. The second capacitive electrode is exposed from the retreating area(RT) of the first capacitive electrode. The convex shape body is overlapped with the retreating area and the side edge portion or formed between the side edge portion and one of the capacitive electrodes.
