Device (1) for producing galvanic coating, comprises at least one process chamber (2), into which at least one workpiece to be provided with the galvanic coating and an electrolyte (3) are introduced. The electrolyte is in connection with a starting- or sacrificial material provided to the material for the coating, which is soluble in electrolyte. The starting- or sacrificial material (4) is introduced into the electrolyte in the form of granules or granule mixture (5) comprising different material particles. An independent claim is also included for producing the galvanic coating, comprising (a) introducing the workpiece to be provided with the galvanic coating into the process chamber filled with the electrolyte, and (b) introducing the starting- or sacrificial material provided to the material for the coating in the form of granules or granule mixture into the electrolyte.
