METHOD FOR DETECTING BENZENE DEGRADING BACTERIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for accurately, rapidly and simply detecting and quantifying Azoarucs sp. DN11 strain which can degrade benzene under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions from a complex biological system.

SOLUTION: A method is disclosed for detecting and quantifying the Azoarucs sp. DN11 strain using a primer and a probe designed based on a sequence of a specific region of a benzene monooxygenase gene possessed by the Azoarucs sp. DN11 strain.
