摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layered lithium nickel manganese complex oxide, an anode material for a lithium secondary battery using the same, and a lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The layered lithium nickel manganese complex oxide forms a rhombohedral crystal and is expressed by the general formula (I): Li<SB POS="POST">X</SB>Ni<SB POS="POST">Y</SB>Mn<SB POS="POST">Z</SB>Q<SB POS="POST">(1-Y-Z)</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. In the general formula (I), X represents a number in a range of 0<X&le;1.2, Y and Z meet the relations: 0.9&le;Y/Z&le;1.2 and 0<(1-Y-Z)&le;0.25, and Q is at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Al, Co, Fe, Mg and Ca.
