A backlight unit is provided to improve the exterior quality of the backlight by attaching a light diffusion structure onto a light guide plate or a light entrance region of a light dispersion unit. A light guide plate(41) is disposed on a cover bottom. A plurality of LED(Light Emitting Diode) lamps(42) are arranged at predetermined intervals on at least one side surface of the light guide plate. A light dispersion unit(43) is provided over the light guide plate. A light diffusion structure(45) is attached onto at least one surface of the light guide plate corresponding to the LED lamps. The light diffusion structure is formed of any one of PET, acryl, rubber, and beads. A reflection plate is provided under the light guide plate. A lamp housing entirely surrounds the LED lamps. A PCB(Printed Circuit Board) plate(47) supports the LED lamps. |
