Adjustments of the capacitances of a plurality of resonant capacitor elements inserted in a ring-shaped conductor element of a birdcage-type high-frequency coil are not needed to be performed separately, but can be performed at a time in a balanced manner. To achieve the adjustments, the birdcage-type high-frequency coil is formed by having two ring-shaped conductor elements in which a plurality of resonant capacitor elements are inserted in series and a plurality of linear conductive elements electrically connected to the two ring-shaped conductor elements. An adjustment belt for changing the apparent capacitances of the resonant capacitor elements at a time is slidably disposed on the outer circumference of at least one of the two ring-shaped conductor elements with a dielectric member in between.
