<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azimuth confirming device which can collect a core having information on azimuth. <P>SOLUTION: An azimuth confirming device comprises a boring rod 10b fixed to an outer head 10a and having a marker 38 for confirming azimuth at the top edge and a connection structure body 32 fixed to the upper edge of the outer head 10a, and in the device a through hole 32a is formed in the underside of the connection structure body 32 and a restraining part 32b of a polygon with n sides in cross section and opening at the top edge is arranged in the connection structure body 32 and the boring rod 10b is connected with the upper part of the connection structure body 32 and the bottom edge is fixed to an inner head 12a. Moreover, the device comprises a connection rod 36 which penetrates the through hole 32a of the connection structure body 32, and the top edge of the connection rod 36 in which irregularity is formed on the outer periphery is extended to the inside of the restraining part 32b, and after a core is stored in an inner tube 12 a plurality of steel balls 32d are placed in the restraining part 32b through the boring rod 10b so as to prevent the turning of the connection rod 36, so that the azimuth of the core can be confirmed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
